Hootie's Sleepy Cat Face

This was one time I got a close up of his huge cat face. He looks kinda sleepy because he just scarfed a handful of fresh Tillamook cheese kurds. He's ready for a nap.Posted by Hello

The Cat Turban

This is Spookamo after crawling under one of the sleeping bags for a cat nap. Most of the night he wandered around the Buda Bus looking for bugs and interesting things to attack. Every 3-4 hours he would walk across my head to get in side Mrs Dirtbagger's sleeping bag. Posted by Hello

How cute are we?

At the campsite

Hangin' out. Notice the diversity of clothing. Mrs Dirtbagger is wearing EVERYTHING she owns, including rubber boots, I've got clearly more appropriate footware, going with a traditional Teva sandle for the wet mushy Oregon coast. Posted by Hello

Nice weather, TODAY

I think this is the ONLY picure of blue sky we got the entire 10 days we were there. Posted by Hello

Enough

OK, so we've just spent several days unpacking. What a drag. We were able to haul a load to the dump and a load to goodwill, however we've still got tons of new house projects. Instead, I think we'll go on another vacation. This time, the Oregon Coast with my Sis and her clan!

Move Day!

Moving crew quote: Man, your pets have alot of possessions." Put in more simple terms, Jesus H, you guys have a lot of crap. Sad thing was, it took 2 trucks to haul our stuff to Spokaloo. Once we get the new house set up, it's time for a garage sale and a little EBay time!Posted by Hello

Is it a Chevy El Camino or Ford Ranchero?

....It's a Japanese version of both. The new tow vehicle to pull behind the Buda bus, a Subaru Buda Baja (except it came from Bellevue WA, not Buda TX) Posted by Hello

Holy Shit!

So this is a pic I found on the intenet with some additional information.

Our Lady of the Rockies is a 90-foot statue sitting atop the Continental Divide located on the East Ridge of Butte off of I-15. Our Lady of the Rockies is the end result of a dream and six years work. A seemingly impossible task was completed by countless volunteers on December 20, 1985 when ‘Our Lady” was placed on the East Ridge overlooking Butte, Montana.

The statue, lighted and visible at night, is a spectacular sight to see. To give you an idea of the dimensions; Our Lady is 90 feet high, 48 feet wide (from fingertip to fingertip), and weighs 51 tons. The overall statistics are: the head (16 feet high by 10 feet wide), eyes (2 feet), nose (4 feet), nose (4 feet), lips (3 feet), hands (8 feet) fingers (3 1/2 feet to 5 feet), and the base (32 feet by 34 feet).

And I thought Oprah was a whole lotta lovin.

Downtown Butte, what a hoot

A view of Butte. Ever been there? Don't worry you didn't miss much. However 10 minutes later, I view one of the most bizzare things I've ever seen. I kept seeing this white thing high on the ridge above Butte. As I view through the binocs, I say out loud "Jesus H. Christ."

Later we go back to the campground and ask a local. "Who is that on the ridge? Is it Mary or Jesus?" The response was "Neither, that is our lady of the Rockies....." OK, I give up, WHO IS our lady of the rockies...Our lady of the rockies....Hmmmm. I don't get it.

Later research determines it's Mother Mary of God, of course...I mean of who else would you build a 90 foot statue? It is wrong to expect the locals to know about a 90 foot statue outside their hometown?Posted by Hello

Historical Butte Montana

Historic Butte Montana, where they found first gold, then silver, then copper. Too bad they didn't find anything to keep this little po-dunk town alive 100 years later. Little did I soon discover there was something grand looming on the horizon..... Posted by Hello

He had no teeth!

Our neighbor @ the RV park in Butte. His trailer was a little smaller than ours. Just joking about the teeth. He had one and it was worn down to his blackened gums.Posted by Hello

Interstate 15

The open road ahead. Mrs Dirtbagger is scouting ahead for Smokies, while I barrel down the road in 8 tons of V-10 power. This is actually I-15 in southwestern Montana about 2 hours south of Butte. Notice the amount of traffic in the middle of the day. Posted by Hello
